HERSELVES (2020)

This hybrid documentary explores the relationship between a Korean-American filmmaker and her immigrant mother. As the filmmaker imagines her mother’s life before motherhood and engages in vulnerable conversations with her mother today, difficult questions of freedom, authorship, and filial responsibility emerge.
